We teach over 300 children each week ranging in age from four through to A level. The children come with a wide variety of educational needs from both the private and state sector; approximately 25 schools in total. Assessments are often undertaken to establish a child’s level before preparing an individual educational programme.
Each year between 60 — 80 of our children make the transition from primary/prep school to Senior School. For this we offer specific guidance for both the children and their parents. As a result we have built up extensive knowledge of schools in SW London. The task of choosing a school for a child of any age can be extremely daunting but particularly in this area with so much choice and competition, and we are finding an ever increasing demand for our School Search Service.
Susan Laidlaw
After a four year B.Ed (Hons) degree from Westminster College, Oxford, Sue gained a broad range of teaching experience in both State and Independent Schools. She enjoyed ten very happy years at the Junior School of Putney High School where she taught pupils throughout Key Stage 1 and 2. She was the head of Key Stage 1 and Literacy Coordinator for the whole School. Since starting the Laidlaw Consultancy in 1992, Sue has worked with nearly four thousand children. This breadth of experience and passion for assisting the individual needs of each child has been the cornerstone of her Education Consultancy as it stands today. The emphasis continues to be placed firmly upon the importance of helping each child to fulfil his or her own potential and, where required, progressing children to schools that fit their own individual requirements.
Sue and her husband, Robin have three daughters, one in each of Key Stage 2, 3 and 6th Form in both private and state schools.
